Casinex is now Africa Sports

What was Casinex?

Casinex was an online casino at casinex.com, run by ProgressPlay Limited, the same Malta-based operator behind BetNeptune, AceLucky and LekkerBets. It was a casino-first brand that, in its own blog's words, "served players across Africa with a wide selection of casino games". Independent casino directory LCB describes it as licensed in Malta and the United Kingdom, and lists Ace Lucky, BetNeptune, Lekkerbets and AfricaSports as its sister sites.

What changed

In 2025 Casinex was rebranded as Africa Sports. The official Casinex blog called it "a major strategic shift toward a broader, more dynamic sports-focused experience tailored specifically for the African market". In practice that means:

• A new name and address. Casinex is now Africa Sports at www.africasports.com. Visit casinex.com today and you land on Africa Sports.
• Sport comes first. Africa Sports opens on the sportsbook, covering football, basketball, rugby, cricket and more, pre-match and live.
• The casino stayed. The announcement promised that "the full suite of slots, tables, live dealers, and jackpots" would still be there. On 26 Sep 2026 the South African game list held 4,281 titles and 116 live tables.
• Same operator. Africa Sports' licence page names ProgressPlay Limited, licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority and the UK Gambling Commission.

What happened to Casinex accounts and balances?

This is the question most people ask. According to the official Casinex post of 21 November 2025, "All existing Casinex.com accounts, balances, and data have been securely migrated. Players can log in to AfricaSports.com using their old Casinex.com credentials without any disruption."

An earlier post, from 1 July 2025, said the same thing ahead of the switch: current accounts, balances and bonuses would transfer automatically, login details would stay the same, and no action was needed.

If you had a Casinex account

1. Go to www.africasports.com (or simply type casinex.com, which takes you there).
2. Log in with the email and password you used at Casinex.
3. Check your balance and any open bonuses in your account.
4. If anything looks off, contact Africa Sports support. Their site offers 24/7 live chat and email.
5. Forgotten your password? Use "Forgotten Password" on the Africa Sports login screen to reset it by email.
